Graduate student
Kevin graduated from Penn State in 2025, where he earned his B.S. in microbiology. During his undergrad, he worked in both an organic chemistry and genetics lab, but fell in love with the microbiology lab studying and writing an honors thesis on outer membrane-targeting antibiotics in Escherichia coli. In the Ellison lab, he studies natural transformation and type IV pili in Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Outside of the lab he enjoys swimming, hiking, cross stitching, and playing D&D.
